The FOREWORD to ‘The Creation of Adam and Them’
God existed before all physical creation and spoke the universe into existence out of nothing. He is the only being capable of making something from nothing and His creation is an action that is only truly understood through a faith indwelling us that has also been given by Him. “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:3) The creation account given in the Bible is neither from human knowledge nor a scientific journal of process about ‘how to do it’, but it is revelation of the spiritual reality of what God did and His order and purpose in doing it.
Our God as Father is the Creator of all existence but it is through His manifestation as Son in Jesus that He created all things, “to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 3:9) While Father and Son are equal in essence as God there is not equality in their roles and Christ fully maintains Himself as subordinate to the Father. (Philippians 2: 5-11) We see different facets of God in the interactive relationships between Father, Son and Holy Spirit but the fact remains that the Father is singularly in charge to the degree that He retained knowledge for Himself that even the Son of Man did not know. An example of this is to whom shall be given the honor of sitting on the right and left hand of Christ when He comes in His kingdom with power. (Matthew 20: 20-23) It also appears that Jesus may have been bereft of knowledge as to the temporary separation that would take place when he carried all sin of mankind at the Cross. Perhaps this is reason for the cry: “And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46) So, in Jesus we see that “great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1Timothy 3:16) But there is no mystery that God created all things by Jesus, in Jesus or through Jesus. The Father was the architect while Jesus was the agent-sustainer of all creation before the foundations of the world and also the fulfillment and upholder of creation after the foundations of the world and for all eternity.
Central scriptures to understanding creation and the role relationships that exist with Christ Jesus speak to forms of existence before and after the foundations of the earth. It is through such time portals that one comes to understand the myriad of positions and conditions that exist through Jesus within the family of God, the family of man and the other beings belonging to His creation. These scripture also provide us keys to the doorways of comprehension surrounding who are the sons of God and who are those given the power to become the sons of God through belief upon His name. Knowing who we are in God’s creation is of primary importance if we are to walk in correct accord with Him and glorify Him through fulfilling all He calls us to be. Concurrently in no manner may we attempt to usurp that which He has not created us for, or given us authority to perform, no matter how strong the desire we have to serve Him. “And if a man also strives for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.”(2Timothy 2:5)
God used six days in His process of creation with man and woman as physical substance coming into being on the last day. Herein we will not be enmeshed in explanation surrounding the length of time comprising a creation day, for day can mean a day of the twenty-four hours of man’s understanding or the thousand years attributed to be the cognition of God. “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2Peter 3:8) Our concern with creation days is for establishing the timing or sequencing of events to focus clearly on God’s order and the identity of His created beings both supernatural and those in the substance of the flesh. It is my belief that creation of mankind in general for population of the earth was a separate event from the creation of Adam who is a son of God at his placement in the Garden of Eden to tend it. What is the same for plural adam (mankind in general or them) and singular Adam (a son of God and father to lineage of the patriarchs) is the substance of the flesh. The substance of the flesh created from the dust of the earth was in essence the batch of dough from which both Adam and all mankind (them) were formed. It was this same substance of flesh that Jesus Christ donned to redeem it for mankind from the pollution of sin that had entered it through Adam’s fall.
May you be blessed in coming to full knowledge of your position as a son of God and His purpose for calling you to follow my Lord Jesus Christ. May the words following from the Book of Isaiah never apply to you: “All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.” (Isaiah 56:9-12)
No, your tomorrow shall not be the same as this day. Time is running out for entry through Eternity Gateway which is the Cross of Jesus Christ and what he did there to redeem you. And frankly… life without Jesus is Hell…so Repent Canada!
