You Shall Know The Truth

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

ToneJesus acted in obedience when sent by the Father and the Holy Spirit functions in the same obedience having been sent after Jesus returned to the Father. “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.” (John 15:26) “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13-14). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth that makes us free and we hear a great deal spoken today about the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So much is being ascribed to the anointing of the Holy Spirit that this attribute of God’s power has become elevated above the name of Jesus! If we look at lines of Godly obedience as occasioned by positions of ascribed authority we know that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the triune God, as Jesus is the second person and both come under the Father. Yet all are equal as God and comprise the Oneness as spoken to in the scripture. However, when man for any reason elevates the Holy Spirit beyond His status level of obedience he is falling into error and it is the same if we ascribe a role to Jesus that He does not play. A good example is Jesus’ return as warrior King to gain His bride the church. It is not our Jesus that is sitting at the right hand of the Father that is doing this work, for the Father told Jesus to sit until He, the Father, had made all his enemies nothing but the footstool of our Christ. So we find that the various persons of God, although of equal stature, when submitting individually within the roles they have self-ascribed, are in reality simply in obedience to nothing but themselves. Obedience is the nature of God as is Holiness but neither of these facets of God are of the natural man with his carnal mind.

TtwoThat we are in the days of great outpouring of the Holy Spirit prior to Christ’s return there is no doubt, and thus much attention should be given to the fact of who the Holy Spirit is as God and the role He is playing in our obedience to Christ. The Holy Spirit is our teacher, comforter, guide and source of power to carry on the works of Jesus here upon this earth now just as He was for Jesus when our Lord was here in the flesh for His first earthly ministry. The Bible tells us “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38) This Jesus that needed the anointing while in the flesh is the same Jesus that sent the Spirit with the anointing to us when He was transformed after the Cross. There was no problem for Jesus to submit to the Father or to take on the flesh that required the granting of the power by the same Holy Spirit that He directed before He entered the flesh and would direct again after He performed His sacrifice at the cross. Jesus never forsook His position in God at any time for He was simply walking in complete obedience. So for man to elevate the Holy Spirit to a role relationship that denies glory unto the name of Christ is a deception of the enemy no matter how blessed it sounds or may appear. The Holy Spirit came to bring glory unto the name of Jesus and will not in any manner steal that glory given before the foundation of the earth. Why would the Holy Spirit essentially steal from himself, as He is one with Jesus as God: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.” (Deu 6:4) It is the Devil, the anti-Christ that wants the position of Jesus and His glory stolen in any form he can. What the devil has snuck into the church largely through Charismatic and Pentecostal circles is belief that the Holy Spirit works independently and manifests miracles never seen during Jesus’ ministry. There has been the fabrication of a concept that the Holy Spirit is somehow active in His own unique ministry and busy manifesting new extra-biblical phenomena which results in human roosters now crowing in assemblies fashioned after John Arnott. This is plain and simply a blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. May God in all three persons and His unity forgive us for what we have allowed to take place in our midst. Satan failed in his attempt to successfully command Jesus through Peter’s saying He could not go to the Cross; but he has had more success through us in our telling God in the person of the Holy Spirit that He is above Christ when He is on the job that Christ has sent Him to do. In essence the devil has us telling God to rearrange Himself to suit our point of view which is satanically induced by carnal flesh and carnal mind.

TthreeThe Holy Spirit will teach us, show us and help us to do all the miracles that He anointed Our Christ to do while in this flesh. He will do nothing more until we have mastered the same things that our Jesus did while in the same flesh that we live within. So you that want to ‘hee-haw’ your way to hell or at best the severest of painful chastisements along with Rodney Howard Browne feel free to do so, but you are not taking me with you or anyone else that the Lord deems through me He is going to free. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom and that Spirit has again just spoken to me. I was preparing to put forth a list of ways for you to recognize the ministry of the Holy Spirit as means of avoiding the deceptions of Devil and of man, when the Spirit freed me from the task. Such lists in themselves can get one off track for the mind of man tends to assume that lists are the summation of all attributes of a thing or all actions that one can do. Inadvertently one again may thus start placing a limit upon a limitless God for they stop further search for an even narrower path to the heart of Christ. All ministry of the Holy Spirit is based upon this one simple Biblical fact, the Holy Spirit always seeks to bring glory (attention) to the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and not Himself or any ministry, methodology or effort of the human will. Ministry of the Holy Spirit always gives testimony to the glory of Jesus and will not detract from Him or His name in any way. Jesus clearly said: “He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.” (John 16:14)

TfourThe things the Holy Spirit receives of Jesus and shows to us will never lessen a relationship of loving obedience to Him, place us under bondages to human authorities, glorify the methods of men or make us spirits of distracting public display. Our God does however allow testing at times by false doctrines so we may learn what it means to “test all things; hold fast to what is good.”  (1Thessalonians 5: 21) We are in days that demand we do a great deal of testing so hang in there. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:1-3) The time of our being received by Jesus is rapidly approaching so just hang in there and keep testing, for you cannot lose obeying the Word of God.

Living in this truth there is absolute freedom….and if you are having difficulty in any way just  Tell Jesus (Robin Herd)  He has promised to care for you in every circumstance and need. “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that called you, who also will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
