ONE BIG JEWISH JOKE?

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS – CHANUKAH

1The Festival of Lights:  Ha·nuk·kah ,ˈKHänəkə,ˈhänəkə is a lesser Jewish festival, lasting eight days from the day of Kislev (in December) and commemorates the re-dedication of the Temple in 165 BC by the Maccabees after its desecration by the Syrians. It is a period marked by the successive kindling of eight lights and great festivities.

It is a time of joyous celebration but it is not one of the ‘Three Mandatory Holy Days of Celebration’ of the Torah. The commandment given in the scriptures is clear: “Three times thou shall keep a feast unto me in the year.” When God says three it is exactly what He means. Although there are many holy days and feasts that have evolved in the Jewish religion God has only commanded that three must be kept as a ‘feast unto Him’; the rest it would appear are extraneous or the traditions of man that the Hebrews evolved. This does not mean they are not to be participated in.

As well, there are multiple names that have been applied to these three demanded feasts, but this does not imply that somehow there are more feasts other than just these three that the Hebrews were instructed to observe on three specific occasions during the year. Many sources state that from wherever they lived the people would travel to the Temple at Jerusalem to celebrate these feasts for it was here God had chosen to place His name. These three feasts are Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles in our English vernacular. (Deuteronomy 16:16) They comprise the three pilgrimage festivals (Shalosh Regalim) during which the Jewish populace historically made the pilgrimage to Jerusalem and presented themselves and their offerings in Solomon’s Temple.

But, today Chanukah truly is a time to remember the Holiness of God, to appreciate His chosen people and to celebrate God’s blessings given us and the world through them.

2Now listen to Adam Sandler sing  The Chanukah Song (Part 2)    Adam Sandler certainly has a screaming need to please or appease someone. While the comic relief seems greatly appreciated, the media persona mentioned in his song are less than truly Jewish according to the Torah. Sandler himself appears more the spiritual kindred of the fool Jim Carrey than the ‘man after God’s own heart’ named King David.

Watching Sandler’s repetitive actions in his career one can only state “as a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly. Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 26:11; 16:18)

4As our buddy Bob Dylan sang – Gotta Serve Somebody I am led to ask do you truly know who you are serving Adam? Dylan obviously has difficulties of discernment himself with his movement from Judaism to Christianity and back to Judaism. As the scripture states: “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.” (James 1:8-10)

It would seem you highly talented media boys are having a bit of a problem with your spiritual lives, eh? Not quite able to figure out just what God might be up to and how he works in our lives, eh

Whatever. Satan has made many attempts to destroy God’s laws and certainly during the time of the divided kingdom of Judah and Israel the apostate Jeroboam I was a major tool. In Israel, he replaced the Levitical priesthood with base men of his own choosing, he substituted the worship of God with the worship of golden calves in Bethel and Dan, and he established a feast in the eighth month to replace the true Feast of Tabernacles that was held in the seventh month. (1 Kings 12) Based on fears and political expediency these ungodly actions brought the nation down with it, just as we see the nations of the USA, Britain, Canada and Australia falling through their erection of various ungodly institutions. For example, in Australia we see the legalization of prostitution further eroding the family as this immorality flies in the face of God’s command for us to be ‘holy as he is holy’. Coupled with this is the governmental move to legally ensconce the abomination of ‘same sex marriage’ in their Federal constitution. This is only following a pathway to hell already trod upon by the other three nations. Such national loss of holiness has a parallel in the loss of the knowledge of God’s Holy Days subsequent to Jeroboam I; but fortunately God had Judah preserve the Old Testament Scriptures and the dictated festivals of God and His time lines for mankind. Still, further spiritual disasters came as a result of Constantine’s actions whereby the true Passover celebration was replaced by Easter which was inherited from a Babylonian cult dedicated to the goddess Ishtar. Under Roman dictates for one to keep the Passover was declared illegal upon the pain of death and its subsequent celebration as Easter was practiced on Sunday in a similar format of the spiritual carnage we face today. Further, through the Babylonian whore of Roman Catholicism we have a great deal of non-scriptural garbage perpetuated under practices surrounding Good Friday, Ash Wednesday and Lent which only serve to further shroud the issues of legitimate Holy Days in Satanic darkness. We also find many Jewish cultural practices that are holding back the children of God from keeping His feasts as mandated because of traditions of man that have emerged in the Jewish cultural-religious heritage.  Spiritually we are at the ‘crossing of the Jordan’ in the race for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus given the proximity of his return; and respecting the honoring of his Holy Days in correct accord time is fast running out, so be warned:  “Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.” (Deuteronomy 12:8; Philippians 3:13-15)  You must come into alignment with His Decree surrounding the Sabbaths and Mandatory Holy Days or face loss of eternal rewards and unnecessary chastisements necessary to donning the white robes of righteousness salvation entails. “Beware therefore, lest that come upon you which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.”  (Acts 13:40-41)  God has declared three and only three mandatory feasts as the Biblical record attests to. These three are not to be approached or regarded as simply Old Testament Jewish ‘religious practices’. The three feasts have exacting prophetic designations for the coming Messiah, His sacrifice at the Cross and continuance in the maturing of relationships between Jesus Christ and his followers subsequent. How you understand and approach these feasts is relevant to the degree of understanding in how you approach and follow our God. As well, how you approach Chanukah is in truth how you approach God.

Adam Sandler, do you have no understanding of the Holiness of the God of the Torah? Do you have any genuine understanding of your own self? Do you know your self Sandler?

3Know Thy Self

To the Christian ‘know thy self’ has nothing to do with self-help or demonic introspective philosophies and methods of carnal man. The flesh driven pathways of self-discovery of men look to elevate man and make him feel good about his carnal positions. The Bible states these self-discovery attempts are the efforts of the fool: “A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself”. (Proverbs 18:2) For the Christian to ‘know thy self’ is to come to knowledge of Jesus Christ and the God that indwells them and this is why we are commanded to examine ourselves. “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (2 Co 13:5) It is Jesus Christ that indwells us and it is for this reason He tells us “whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.” (Mark 8:34-35) Losing our lives is not some religious desire for self-abasement but is an ongoing process of surrender through recognition of Christ’s indwelling presence within us. A Holy Spirit driven desire within us for service to Christ through complete obedience to His word leads to ever increasing outward display of His essence within our being. It is thus we indwell Him and walk in His faith coming to full knowledge of what it means when He states: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”(John 15:5)  The flesh is the Cross that we pick up daily in our walk with Jesus and through overcoming of this flesh and renewal of the mind by obedience we enter into the fellowship with the Father and Holy Spirit that is only possible through oneness with Christ. This spiritual interaction in our life demands a walk of faith but even this faith we exhibit is totally Christ dependent. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20) This faith is not some magic that works independently of our participation for we must choose to walk in it. As we choose to follow Jesus we are drawn into intimate union with Him as Lord and we are given the same tasks of professing the Kingdom and showing power over the forces of evil that He possesses. We in essence become the manifesting presence of Christ ‘in the flesh’ and the power that Christ entails is what the devil attempts to keep us from displaying through our lives ‘in Christ’ and His life ‘through us’. For the Christian to know our ‘self’ is to know Jesus indwelling us, His choosing of us, His power acting through us and the simplicity of His gospel. No ‘crystal ball’ required in any of this Adam, nothing more necessary than simple Biblical Truth for we are under the Blood shed at the Cross!

as11So, who are you serving Sandler? God or Mammon? The God of the Torah and being Jewish is truly nothing to be a source for your off colored jokes or ridicule in any manner. Hey, Adam Sandler Did You Ever Need A Miracle  ?  It certainly sounds and looks like you do.

It’s not so much the fat Adam. It’s in your eyes. You are in great need of spiritual help.

Is this your song playing out Adam? I started A Joke

Who is this God, this Messiah that you approach in the manner you do Adam Sandler? Well, according to the Torah this should be your approach to Him: “I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. So, serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” . (Psalms 2:7, 11-12)

“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. “(Psalms 50:22-23)

האם אתה מבין?  It is time for repentance Adam Sandler or is everything backwards for you?.
