Your character basically comprises the nature, mental and moral qualities that make you a distinct individual in your personality and disposition displayed toward your fellow man.
The development of character is manipulated by the entirety of events that one passes through so we say that character is an evolutionary process that one effects through the choices they make.
The choices a person makes will thus display a disposition that can manifest anywhere along the pathway between extremes of Evil or Holiness. Thus, people are typically lump defined as being basically ‘a good person’ or ‘a bad person’ ~ ‘an Evil person’ or a Holy person’.
How a person sees both themselves and the lump within which they are defined is the matter they can affect or change through their choices. The truly individual being can in effect form their own character, their personality, through their matter of choices.
At times I have stumbled and fallen, but I remain here today stating the same thing as I did when I made my first right choice, fully knowing that:
HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE
Had I done otherwise I would have found myself further buried in the muck of ‘the lump of bad boy characters’ following:
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, sedition, heresies, envying’s, murders, drunkenness, reveling and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)
“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:” (Colossians 3:8-10)
“But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whore monger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.” (Ephesians 5:3-5)
If, in any manner you have found yourself darkly characterized amid one of the three descriptive lumps above I recommend you face up to the light of such Truth. I cannot place it any more simply before you than this:
