THE SONS OF GOD
“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.” (Eph 1:4-5)
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3) The Associates are the Sons of God now upon this earth in agreement with what you read in these pages. The Sons of God existed before the foundations of the world were laid by Jesus.
The Matter Called In the Beginning
The Book of Genesis is called the book of beginnings and in its opening line states “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Ge 1:1) For many such statement has led to a fallacy of believing this to be the commencement of creation which is not a fact. We know that before God created the heaven and the earth that He laid the foundation for it. “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.” (Heb 1:10) Also, when it comes to the existence of man we normally focus so hard upon the six days creation account we miss a fact about our own creation, that of our existence in Christ before the foundation of the world. (Ex 20:11; Eph 1:4-5) If we wrongly continue to focus upon our existence as commencing from creation of the flesh we will never know the fullness of the heritage that was established for us in Christ Jesus before the foundation of the world. At what point during ‘in the beginning’ did God create the heaven and earth and all that followed such action? We know that, “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” (Jn 1:1-2) We know that Christ eternal was existent before the start of this in the beginning and we know that the foundations of the earth were placed by Him after this. We also know that we existed and that we were chosen in him before the foundation of the world. (Eph 1:4-5) This is all Biblical fact! We have existed before the foundation of the world in spiritual form (substance) and were created at some time prior in the eternally existing Christ. The transitory training ground encasement of the flesh we presently occupy, will ultimately be renovated to a final compatibility with its’ first spiritual substance, and we shall continue onward in the form of man and image of God. So, finding ourselves in the form of a man our concern is with our existence as man, and the purpose our God had in creating us in this form and in His likeness and image. This form, or substance of the flesh, did not exist before the foundations of the earth, for the substance of the flesh came of the dust of the earth created after the foundations were laid. Thusly the foundations of the earth appear to be the logical divisional point for understanding creation through ‘rightly dividing the Word’. Read The Creation of Adam and Them for the unveiling of Creation Revelation given in the Scripture. And know that “the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19) “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.” (1 John 3:2-3)
The Sons of God
The sons of God is a phrase with different Biblical meanings, the first of which relates to the nonhuman and non-angelic beings that were present at the laying of the foundation of the world, and which presented themselves to God as stated in the Book of Job. “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.” (Job 1:6) These sons are not angels, for angels are not the sons of God “for unto which of the angels said he at any time, thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?” (Heb 1:5) Jesus was not an angel and the sons of God created by him were neither as we know from our writing in Chapter Two. Angels and sons are singularly distinct categories of beings and thus the fallen angels referred to in 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 6 are not possibly the beings referred to as sons of God in Genesis where we read: “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.” (Ge 6:1-2) These sons of God are either the non-angelic beings of Job 1:6 or some other form of human being referred to as sons of God. We shall examine these sons of God, daughters of men and the giants some claim were their progeny, but for now we only establish the fact these sons of God that took them wives of all they chose were not angels. Jesus made this clear when addressing Jewish detractors of the resurrection: “Jesus answered and said unto them, ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” (M’t 22:29-30) There is neither marriage nor sexuality among the angelic beings as that known among human beings. Sexuality was a creation of God for the purposes of man’s earthly procreation only. Further, the Hebrew verb for the expression took them wives is standard Old Testament language surrounding marriage, so sons of God as concerned here refers to human beings whether those of the lineage of Adam or those of the sons and daughters of men given power to become the same through faith and action of the Holy Spirit. They are definitely not angels.
A second usage for the term sons of God comes to us through the New Testament as a name for people who are in a covenant relationship with God through belief upon the name of Jesus. The Holy Spirit speaking through Paul tells us, “blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be Holy and without blame before him in love: having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”(Eph1:3-5) This passage speaks to the process of adoption whereby believers become children of God through Christ and joint heirs with him. This process of adoption is the same for the Jew and the gentile, “for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” (Ro 8:14-16) Our phrase of main concern here is this: “He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world.” From scripture it is shown that before laying the foundations of the world the son’s of God were created in Christ and after the foundations of the earth the sons of men and the children of Satan were created by God to populate the earth. From the scripture it is clear that both the son’s of God present at the laying of the foundation and those adopted in, be they Jew or gentile, to become son’s through belief on Jesus were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. All the sons of God of the lineage of Adam’s gene pool or those given the power to become the son’s of God through belief from among the son’s and daughters of men were chosen by God. In the emergence of our understanding to who we are in Christ is there any importance to be attached to whether we are spirit beings as Adam who is a son of God, and not merely those given the power to become a son through belief upon the name of Jesus? It would not appear to be of importance as the spirit beings called the sons of God whether of Adams’ seed to the time of Jesus and the point of adoption though belief were all present at the laying of the foundation of the world. How do we know for certitude? Simply because the scripture is inerrant and the word all is inclusive and leaves no son’s of God out when it proclaims “the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy.”(Job 38:7) As sons of God we cannot go looking for special status among ourselves whether we are of the lineage of the Jew (Adams seed direct) or the gentile (Adams seed through adoption). But there is great importance to coming to the recognition of who we are in Christ, the position we are called to fill within His household and how we are to run the race for the prize of the high calling within Him. I remind you at this time that “ye are Gods and the scripture cannot be broken” as we continue examination of who we are in Christ. Remember, all the son’s of God prior to Adam did not have the ingredient surrounding their being termed the flesh and all the son’s in their spiritual being existed before the foundation of the world.
Those Given Power to Become the Sons of God
“He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (Jn 1:10-13) Of central concern to us in this scripture is the phrase “to them gave he power to become the sons of God”. This highlights the fact that ‘them’ were not the sons of God prior to receiving the power to ‘become’ such, while Adam is a son of God in an already existent state of being. Neither Adam nor any other son of God needs power to become what they already are, but they do need power, the same as the Lord Jesus Christ was given before entering the wilderness, to come to their full maturity in the flesh in like manner as Christ. The sons of God such as Adam have no choice about being a son for they were created as such and cannot alter their own essential being. They are left only with the freedom of choice surrounding each step in their walk toward maturity. This is not the case for other created human beings, as they must have first ‘received him’ and “believed on his name’ to be given the power ‘to become’ the sons of God. Obviously one needs to understand what this power is and how to use it, but first we shall look at the meaning of ‘become’ and the ‘becomers’ alluded to.
Becoming and Becomers
For Christians to ‘become’ implies a change of state or conversion from one form of being into a new form through acquiring or receiving new qualities or characteristics of positive spiritual value. Becoming as entailed means that which is suitable, fitting and proper, thus the power to become the son of God means the capability of becoming what is fitting and proper with God to be acceptable as a son. Becoming always has the necessity of action on behalf of the becomer as is well exemplified in the following scripture. “Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”(M’t 18:3) Such also is entailed in John’s statement of the necessity of receiving and believing in Jesus for there is a demand to action on the part of the ones being given the power to become sons.(Jn 1:10-13)
From the time of its creation our Lord was in the world and humanity in general is the facet of worldliness that knew him not both before and after his incarnation in the flesh. (Jn 1:4,5,10) Our Lord Jesus is described as the light of the world “and this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hates the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” (Jn 3:19-20) From the time of Cain this has been so, for the bulk of humanity simply refuses to recognize its own creator whether presented with him in person, by supernatural deeds or through visible creation. The ‘becomers’ of first concern to us from our scripture are the Israelites for it is among this race our Lord chose to incarnate himself in the family of man with his lineage stretching back to Adam. The Jewish nation was ‘his own’ that he came unto and who received him not as the Biblical record shows. The Israelite passage under the leadership of Moses clearly displays this, as does their rejection of him as the promised messiah with his incarnation in the flesh. During his time as man the Jewish rulers such as Nicodemus knew full well he was a ‘teacher come from God’, and Nicodemus himself was even a secret follower of Christ until after his death, but they did not openly acknowledge him as their teacher and many even tried to kill him for claiming to be the messiah. (Jn 3:2) And yet the nation of Israel was and remains God’s chosen people through whom the law, the covenants and the blessings of all mankind have been transmitted. In spite of a status to be coveted the Jews to large degree have never truly known or honored the God of their own scriptures and remain in desperate need of the salvation message of Christ. Those of the spiritual gene pool of the sons of God such as were Adam, Moses, Elijah and David were but a remnant amid the Jewish nation at the time Christ entered it in the flesh to pay the price of redemption. It was first to as many of the Jews as received him that he gave power to become the sons of God. So not all Jews were or are the sons of God as was Adam and they will not even have the power to attain such status until they receive Jesus as messiah. For a great number of the Jewish nation the receiving of Jesus does not occur until he returns to succor his race at the battle of Armageddon. It is during the period called ‘the times of the Gentiles’ that the last great persecution and testing of the Jews takes place for they shall have just passed through 42 months of peace when the Antichrist person sets himself upon a throne on a wing of their temple and his hell is unleashed upon them and Christians worldwide. “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (2Th 2:3-4; Dan 9:27; Isa 28:18; 1Th 5:3; M’t 24:14-16; 2Th 2:3-4) Scripture tells us that “they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” (Lu 21:24) This is to be the fate of the Jews taken by one world governing forces of the Antichrist. We know the church (saints) is raptured at the end of the 42 months of the Great Tribulation and the times of the Gentiles occupancy of Jerusalem is fast and tumultuously drawing to a close with the Lord’s return to the Battle of Armageddon. With this battle the Jews shall recognize him for Jesus states through Zechariah, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.” (Zec 12:9-10) At this momentous return there shall be great harvest amid the repentant Jews turning toward Jesus as messiah and mankind will soon realize the price God has demanded of his chosen race. “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, there shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.” (Ro 11:25-26)
After Armageddon the first great blindness of unbelief plaguing the Jew has been removed and the millennial rule of Christ occurs during which ‘all Israel’ shall be saved as Jesus now walks among his people and rules from his throne in Jerusalem. The Jews as an entire nation shall worship and glorify their messiah and all shall understand the price the Lord has required them to pay so the gentiles could be adopted into the house of Israel and know membership amid the family of God. The blindness upon Israel and their hardening of heart is according to the will of God until the fullness of the gentiles be come in. This fullness of the gentiles is the final harvest of souls that takes place among the remnant of the heathen nations that are ruled over by the sons of God during the Millennium. For one thousand years “the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” (Hab 2:14) Whatever blindness has been upon the Jew is removed with finality during the first days following what is termed the 70th Week of Daniel. (Dan 9:24-27; 12:6-12) The Lord is seen walking with both vengeful and loving purpose as he moves about the cities and countryside of his beloved Israel. (Isa 63:1; Hab 3:12) Following this He returns to Jerusalem, where he first returned in glory through the Eastern Gate, from which he shall rule during the Millennial Kingdom with a rod of iron over all the nations of the earth. His deity is never questioned by the Jew again for by this time the Jews as a race and nation will have been visibly restored to their position of divine favor with God. The Millennium is the time Jews and Gentiles alike that comprise spiritual Israel bring about the final general conversion of the heathen world to Christ, and “the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sands of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered; and it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them, ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, ye are the sons of the living God.” (Hos 1:10;Ro 9:25-26) Where the scriptures state ‘all Israel shall be saved’ the term Israel refers to believers of every racial characteristic. The sons of the promise made by God to Abraham that are without number clearly consist of both the Jewish and Gentile believers for of the gentiles He said “I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.”(Ro 9:25) This is a great proclamation for those of us who are not of physical Jewish bloodlines to know that we too are sons of the living God, that with belief in Jesus we have spiritually become the same as the Jewish believers and that there are no racial or sexual differences in Christ. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Gal 3:28-29) But, does this make us, be we Jew or Gentile, a son of God of the same stature or positioning as was Adam who did not need to knowingly either receive Jesus, or believe upon his name to be a son? Does the fact that Adam and say King David knew Jesus as God by one of His other names eliminate the concern about belief upon the name of Jesus that is enunciated so clearly in the New Testament? It may be so, but it does not appear to eradicate the fact that Adam did not have to receive power to become a son, and if there are any limitations upon those who must receive power to attain his status of a son such questions are needful of answer if we are to come to the maturity of sons the scripture states the ‘creation waits for’.
Even To Them
“He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”(Jn 1:11-12) There are two groupings spoken to by John as receiving power in the foregoing scripture, with his own race that received him being one and them by implication being those of all other races and most often referred to as Gentiles or heathens. ‘Even them’ means also or as well as those that believed on his name from among the bloodline Jews. When you receive Jesus, or when you believe in Jesus, is one and the same action of accepting him as the Son of the living God, in essence God himself. It is this acceptance of Jesus as God our redeemer that results in one being given the power to become a son of God. It is the power one receives that gives the ability to become a son and not the action of acceptance or belief alone. As stated prior, it takes action to become and this is evidenced even in the definition of son for the word means builder of the family name. This definition of son has further implications in that them automatically now excludes the children of Satan for though they believe that Jesus is the son of God they are never builders of the family name, but its constant detractors.(M’t 8:28-29) No child of the devil nor one of ‘them’ or ‘his own’ that live in continuous unrighteousness shall ever receive the power to become a son of God. “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (1Co 6:9-10) God does not cast pearl before swine so stop grunting and repent if you recognize yourself in one or more of the foregoing categories.
The Power to Become
The power to become a son of God entails the capability or strength necessary for a man to acquire the moral and spiritual characteristics that are natural to a supernatural God. It is a quality or spiritual attribute that in essence enables the effective change from a lower to higher state of spiritual being. Quite simply, the supernatural power given by which one can become a son of God is the Spirit of God as Jesus stated, “if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.” (M’t 12:28) The Spirit of God is the power of God and the spiritual ingredient or key to receiving the power is faith, “for you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”(Gal 3: 26) When one receives or believes in Christ faith opens a spiritual doorway by which the Holy Spirit then occupies him and leads one to surrender himself to God in such manner that Jesus, the living Word, enters to dwell within his heart. And along with Jesus comes the Father for they are one. A person is then open in the spirit realm for the business called becoming a son of God. However, even our faith is not something that stands or is created “in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”(1Co 2:5) Like the Spirit of God, faith and to whom such power is given, is a matter that is totally God dependent. Scripture tells us that God has predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.” (Eph 1:5) Who receives the power of the Spirit to become a son is totally dependent on the will of God. Being a Jew by birth does not automatically entitle one to becoming a son and there is nothing of the ‘will of the flesh, or the will of man’ that can force God to give them His Spirit or transform them to a son. (Jn 1:12-13) It is not a power of the free will of mankind that they can make themselves the sons of God for only the Spirit of God can bring this about. There is however within the power of faith an opening left by God whereby the free will of man does affect all passage to becoming a son of God in Christ if a man makes use of it. Faith is a power of God, for all things given of God for the benefit of man in progress to becoming a son are of His Spirit. At a time when Paul is discussing gifts of the Spirit in Romans he tells us “God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” (Ro 12:3) Some Bible expositors state that faith spoken to here is not the ordinary faith that saves the soul, but rather it is the extraordinary gift of faith that is essential to display and growth of the spiritual gifts. This is in fact truth, but this faith is not different than the faith that one is given by which they receive Jesus and believe on his name. It is an increase of the same faith and it is this increase that is the gift that must be sought and prayed for. It is an action of the free will of man if they do or do not seek the gift of faith that exemplifies such increase of faith, once they are brought to awareness that it exists. When you seek the increase of faith you affect or activate the power of God in a measure that moves you forward to becoming more like Christ, you start to put on Christ and exhibit characteristics of a son of God through your choice, but it is the Holy Spirit that does the work, for of your own volition you cannot make yourself a son of God. Or, as Jesus states our positioning: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (Jn 15:5) Nothing of the carnal flesh or mind avails in the spirit realm.
Now, where God states He ‘has dealt to every man the measure of faith’ a measure means a part or portion, and we know that this measure opens a window of opportunity to receive all the graces of God. But what is the greatest of the graces of God if it is not the measure of faith he gives that activates us to choose whether we receive Jesus or believe upon His name? This is the measure of faith that each man is given that has the potential to become a son of God, and what we have come to term the free gift of salvation is in reality the measure of faith necessary so one can freely choose to walk the pathway of becoming or not becoming a son of God. God cleanses one as they become His son, but He does not force the sons and daughters of men (them) to become His children. It is for this reason the scripture states “for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph 2:8-9) No man can work or earn in any manner this faith or offer of becoming a son as God makes it to only whom He chooses. So this first measure of faith is both ordinary and extraordinary, for all faith is of the Spirit of God, and it is this first free gift of the power of God that enables one to have any ability whatsoever of choosing to believe upon the name of Jesus. When we choose to believe that Jesus is God and that He is come in the flesh we become the children of God to be raised to maturity as sons. We have now become joint-heirs to the spiritual inheritance of Jesus and begin to comprehend the vastness of the Fathers love for us and reason for the world of man increasingly despising us. As John states, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” (1 Jn 3:1-3) So we see that we must be given the power of God to even be capable of choosing our Lord, and when we do determine to receive him we next experience and influx of power through the Holy Spirit that allows us to become His sons. Within the expression ‘to them gave he power to become’ is entailed being given the right, authority and ability to become a son of God. As one assumes their rights as a son of God and exercises the authority they have been given the power of the Holy Spirit is always demonstrated in some manner about their ministry, if they have been called of God and are not self-directed. Paul makes this abundantly clear: “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” (1Co 2:4-5) “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.” (1Th 1:5) We deal with our power and authority as sons in-depth in Chapter Ten so we can know what manner of men we truly are as we manifest to the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ. Meanwhile, note this: Paul said that his preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom but was accompanied with the demonstration of the power of God in mighty signs and wonders. This visible presence of the Holy Spirit is the evidence of the power of God at work generating the presence and grace of ‘ordinary-extraordinary’ faith working upon men in such manner as is necessary for them to make their choice. This is the visible presence of the power of God unto salvation and not the spiritually baseless alter calls that are being generated by the many powerful orators who give messages that persuade men through their carnal human minds of the wisdom of accepting Christ. In North America we see massive answering of these calls and often tremendous organizational effort put into follow-up for discipleship of those that have ‘accepted Jesus’, and yet there are no great increases to the body of Christ, and reality is that the Christian denominations in North America, Australia and most parts of Europe are withering and dying on their feet. Churches with powerful speakers in pastoral leadership, great organizational structures and all the outward trappings of holiness are giving birth to homeless sheep wandering from one parched spiritually void pasture to another looking for the living water of the Holy Spirit that is just not present. A spiritual thirst has been generated that no method of man can every quench and it is for this reason the Spirit has commenced His final outpouring in these end times to separate His overcomers, His soldiers, from the general body of believers for the final day of harvest called the Millennium. One bit of advice as we carry forward in supplication of God for the fullness of revelation as to how we ‘sons’ and ‘becomers’ look toward maturity is this: “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” (2Ti 2:1-5) I pray to God you are one of the faithful men spoken of and not a man of versions for there are many versions, suppositions and interpretations, but there is only one Truth. The more experts you call upon and the more archeological evidence you need to prove the Bible true to yourself and the world about us the further you distance yourself from the one who is Truth and the one He sent to guide us in our landscape of spiritual opportunity, the school ground of the flesh. God deals and speaks in absolutes for He was, is and shall always be singular absolute Truth.
The Singular Inequality
In searching for differences between being a son of God and one given the power to become a son the ability of choosing salvation or eternal life with Jesus is the only area where true inequality exists. Sons of God created and known as Adam, David, Moses, Joshua and a myriad of others cannot choose not to be a son, they can only choose to be immature sons. The shouters discussed in Chapter Three cannot lose their salvation, they can only fail in maturity or growth in the flesh and thus receive judgment for their actions that affects positions held in both the celestial and millennial Kingdoms, in other words, their proximity to Christ. Their salvation as eternal life in some heavenly proximity to Christ cannot be lost for it is a state that as spirit beings they already existed in. Simply put: once a son, eternally a son. The sons and daughters of men however can choose not to be a son of God and this is the difference between the two groups, they can reject eternal life with Christ. If the sons and daughters of men lose their opportunity or fail to accept Jesus Christ as Lord they generate for themselves the eternal inequality of separation from their Creator through dwelling in the lake of fire. Eternal life entails immortality whether it is in heaven or the lake of fire and this makes the human understanding of death as an action occasioned to the physical flesh truly of no concern or lasting consequence, that is unless one has destined their self for the lake of fire. This is the simplicity of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ whether mankind approves of it or not.
God and His Godsons
Our Lord stated to the unbelieving, “Is it not written in your law, I said you are Gods? If He called them Gods unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; say ye of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, thou blasphemes; because I said I am the Son of God. “(Jn 10:34-36) The only begotten son Jesus in His complete holiness was set apart by God and sent into the world to redeem it, whereas the sons of God through creation by Christ are set apart by God and sent into the world to don His complete holiness as His godsons. We know there are many “that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, as there be gods many, and lords many, but to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.” (1Co 8:5-6;Eph 3:14-15) The whole family of God is the collective body of beings of His paternal descent through creation that live in heaven and earth, existing in His household and lineage through willing obedience to the creator. The family is a singular spiritual entity, as Paul does not state a plurality of groupings of families and scripture states that in the fullness of time God gathered “together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him.”(Eph 1:10) In this family are all believers in the Lord Jesus comprised of sons of God on earth, sons of God awaiting resurrected bodies in paradise, sons of God in heaven awaiting incubation in the flesh and our brethren the angelic host serving in heaven and earth. The angels are not the sons of God such as we are but they are of our family. (Re 19:10) Prior to enlightenment it is very difficult for human beings to bridge between their intellect and their minds that they are gods with His eternal essence and nature but scripture states that is what we are and that there are many of us. In Psalm 82 we are forewarned “God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.”(v.1) Congregation means an assembly, crowd, family or multitude of the mighty, the definition of which ascribes them as having the strength or power of deity. The verse states that God judges, meaning he governs, directs and pronounces sentences in matters, among the gods, and gods as used here in the plural directly references to deity as of our supreme God. The Psalm then carries forward with admonition for the sons to learn correct judgment and warns them they have a timeframe for doing so, the constraint placed upon their deity of being incubated in the flesh as men. God states, “I have said, ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”(V.6, 7) Gods has the same reference to His own deity and children means builder of the family name of the most High who is our God. There is no question that those believing on the name of Jesus are gods and that they are godsons through their union in creation by Christ Jesus.
As children and members of God’s family we have the responsibility of applying ourselves to becoming dutiful and productive builders of the family name, and great peace of mind comes when one realizes it is our Father’s responsibility to see we have all the tools at hand and instructions necessary to complete His assigned tasks. We then realize the absolute union we have with Him through Jesus where he speaks of us: “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world” and that we are being perfected by Him through His indwelling presence and due to His intention and designs for He states “thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.” (Jn17: 16-26; De 18:13-14) While you go about as His ambassador on this earth remember that it is “the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. Count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the son’s of God”, and they will boldly say with me now, “God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.” (1Pe 5:10; Jas 1:2-4; 2Co 5:21; Ro 8:14; 2Sa 22:33)
If God is making your way perfect and He has you walking in this way what does this say about your current state of perfection? The answer is obvious so “do all things without murmurings and disputes: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the Sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”(Ph 2:14-15) It is time for the sons of God to warn and teach every man “in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus; whereunto I also labor, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily.”(Co 1:27-29) The Lord knows who are His so “let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity and purge himself so he is a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work”. (2Ti 2:19-21) “And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.” (1Pe 1:17-20)
We receive the characteristics of God when we stand in faith, recognize His word as truth in its entirety and exercise the powers He has given us as sons. Perfection emerges as one acts in obedience and Jesus lives as God through us. In the next chapter we shall be looking at specific rights that God says are only His and then goes on to say that we have been given them and must exercise them. Through this means He shows us who we truly are and that we are perfect in this flesh as He is perfect, for He that is perfect remains in this flesh with us as well until we are bathed in His final glory. You are never alone when you reside with Jesus. Amen.
Jesus defines those who are his friends and gives the gauge for measuring his friendship based on his revelation to us in the following scripture: “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”(Jn 15:14-15) You must judge yourself closely to see if you have graduated from servant status to being the friend of Jesus. If you are not being guided into all truth by the Holy Spirit through revelation of His word, and know you cannot comprehend what is being said from His word, then you must look toward your walk of obedience as being out-of-step. It requires a heart completely relinquished to God in perfect obedience for all things heard from the Father to be made known unto you. It is a fact that the Holy Spirit will also speak and act directly through the fully obedient servants, the friends of Jesus, in times of persecution: “But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.”(M’r 13:11) The obedience necessary to such friendship is expostulated in Chapter Ten when we deal with the power of God given to His sons. Meanwhile, we are going to look at love and friendship as Jesus shows it to be through his relationship with Martha, Mary and Lazarus whom he let rot in the grave for four days before he raised him back to life. Jesus deliberately made the sisters live through their brother’s sickness, death and burial to the point when he arrives to take action and we read: “Jesus said, take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he hath been dead four days.” (Jn 11:39) It is Jesus that tells us “a friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” (Pr 17:17) His word tells us “a man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” (Pr 18:24) We know the friend that sticks closer is Jesus and if we are going to love as He loves, walk as He walks, and prove ourselves to be His friends, we must be prepared to deal with others in the same manner as Jesus did for “Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.”(Jn 11:5) There are numerous ways of defining love and friendship but the only one of eminent concern is the eternal definition ascribed by God through the actions of His son.
Individual friendship entails an intimate acquaintance or favorable frame of mind for someone and never has basis in carnal animal appetite for sexual lust that many hide behind a pretense of love. True friendship springs from respect for the intrinsic worth and value one holds for a person and is not just as state of good will or benevolence one may have toward mankind in general. There is sincere desire to see another happy and prosperous in their life circumstance that conditions actions of integrity toward them that instills confidence and trust. Genuine friendship will lead a person to stand along side their friend in the face of opposition to his enemies and their common foes. A friend that sticks closer than a brother is one that does not fear loss of your friendship through telling you the truth when you are wrong in thought, word or deed because they fear losing your friendship. A true friend knows there is no genuine love or friendship that has any foundation in fear for, “there is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, that he who loves God love his brother also.” (1Jn 4:18-21) The friendship and love of God is intimate, sincere, constant and not based upon fear as man comprehends it. This is not the false friendship of buddies that is based upon temporary special interests or needs that change in the spur of the moment or threat of personal loss. The relationships of Jesus show him embracing intimate friendship not only of individuals, but also of families for “Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.” (Jn 11:5) These people had an intimacy with Christ of the same nature as John the disciple whom Jesus loved, for with the brothers’ sickness they send a message saying, “Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.”(Jn 11:3) Christ and his disciples were their familiar acquaintances, sharing in the generous hospitality of their household and Lazarus must have possessed many of the same characteristics as the apostle John in extending genuine love and friendship. “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” (Pr 18:24) The love of Lazarus was intimate and sincere like that which Jesus extends toward all disciples. Lazarus was a friend to all the disciples as Jesus states to them “our friend Lazarus sleeps.”(Jn 11:11) This intimacy of relationship is reflected as well in Mary sitting at Jesus feet and with her anointing and wiping his feet with her hair. (Jn 12:1-3) The family knew Jesus special affection for them and they also knew he was their messiah through their actions and their words. Martha easily states knowledge of who He is: “She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”(Jn 11:27) Knowing Jesus as friend entails an intimacy that is based on obedience from a love of reverence and respect as evidenced by John in his walk with Jesus. Such love never attempts to command or take advantage of another because they know he loves them; for certitude they never assume his power or ability to do something for them is entailed as a right due to their friendship. This family loved Jesus in such manner, for at a time of need when Lazarus was sick the sisters sent the message saying, “Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.”(Jn 11:3) They did not demand he come and heal him, they simply informed the Lord of the circumstance and left the matter to whatever His love toward them would dictate. They knew the constancy of Christ’s love, who he was and were not about to tell God what he had to do or that he had to prove himself and His love true. They lived out the trust that God requires of us if we are to be more than basic servants and experience the unspeakable joy of being His friend.
When Martha heard the Lord was approaching Bethany she went out to meet Jesus, leaving Mary in the house with a number of Jews that had come to comfort them over the death of Lazarus. Her actions were protective for she knew that the Jews were desirous of putting him to death. (Jn 10:39; 11:7-8) It was for this reason as well when her conversation was done with Jesus that she “called Mary her sister secretly, saying, the Master is come, and calls for thee.”(Jn 11:17-30) Following this we have the raising of Lazarus and Martha’s concerns prove warranted for “many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.” (Jn 11:45-46) This sped up the plots of the rulers and Caiaphas to a crisis in attempting to kill Jesus and Lazarus as well “because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.”(Jn 12:11) The greatest fear of the Jews was loss of their worldly interests: “If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.” (Jn 11:48) They cared nothing for either the sanctity of God and even less for His sheep. I see little difference between these men and the majority of the rulers of the Anglican Church of Canada that are lurking about our society like slathering junk yard dogs as the heat increases upon them through their continuous yielding to the abomination of homosexual assault so they can retain their coveted and idolatrous positions. How blinded by the enemy must men be to think that they can defeat the supernatural through natural means like threats and fears of death? Lazarus and his sisters were the friends of Jesus and returning the perfect love to him that he bestowed upon them. If you are the friend of Jesus you will never forsake him even in the face of your own death in witness to His holy name. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2Ti 1:7) The sound mind knows that it is our friend King Jesus that indwells us and that he is capable of carrying us through all physical torments without the experience of how a man feels pain in the flesh. The friends of Jesus must remain fearless in their loyal service to him.
At the banquet in Bethany after the raising of Lazarus Mary took “a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment.”(Jn 12:3) The traitor thief Judas complained about waste of such expensive oil, and “then said Jesus, let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.”(Jn 12:7) With her actions Mary showed herself to be the friend of Jesus in communion with the Holy Spirit in a manner at this time his disciples did not appear to be, for she knew he was on his way to the cross to fulfill the Father’s will. Perhaps John knew this as well but it does not appear the others had understood or accepted the timing of such event. From the beginning of her relationship with Jesus we know that Mary had chosen the best thing through sitting at his feet as the obedient servant listening attentively to him, while Martha busied about with preparations for the meal. The key element that surrounded the lesson spoken through Jesus at this time was not about the passive or active forms of service to him, but was about instant obedience when the Holy Spirit presence of the Lord makes himself evident in ones life as Jesus had done in the sisters’ home. One needs to immediately drop everything of physical concern and separate themselves to the presence of the Lord whether for ten seconds or ten days and hear what is being spoken. In this action Mary was not washing the feet of Jesus but poured out the oil as an act of consecration the same as with sacred vessels or instruments used for purposes of the service of God. (Ex 30: 26-30) Hers was not a simple act of hospitality as was customary with the Jews but under direction of the Holy Spirit as Jesus stated, “she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.” (M’r 14:8) He knew that the tomb would be empty when the women came with the spices and ointments to anoint his body and he knew Mary was being led of the Holy Spirit in her actions. (Lu 23:56) Oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit power being poured out upon Jesus as he had donned the full armor of God for the battle underway in the Spirit realm. “Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.” (Isa 21:5) It was usual in preparation for war to anoint pieces of armor with oil to a polished brightness and so they might be slippery smooth so the darts of the enemy might easily slide off. In the gospel we are told to have “your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” (Eph 6:15-16) Mary was acting in prophetic faith as she polished the weapon of the Lord’s feet when she anointed them with oil and dried them with her hair. God had spoken to Satan that He would “put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”(Ge 3:15) In the battle underway as the Lord crushed sin and death under his heel at the cross Satan would not be grasping on to usurp His spiritual inheritance as King of Kings and the first born son of the living God. This is why Mary was used of the Holy Spirit to anoint the feet and not our Lord’s head or hands. This is also why she used her hair to dry his feet, as it was through Eve the serpent first worked his deception through robbing her of the simplicity of obedience to the voice of God. It was a physical display of the spiritual authority and relationship of Mary to Jesus as her Lord. “I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” (1Co 11:3) A particular thing to note is that as Jesus reclined at supper Mary did not wash his feet, nor does the scripture give evidence of any sorrow at this banquet celebrating the victory over death as evidenced through the raising of her brother.
Now read the account of Mary Magdalene for both Mary’s at one time wiped the Lord’s feet with their hair. “And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, this man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner. And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, thou hast rightly judged. And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore I say unto thee, her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”(Lu 7:36-50)
Some have tried to conjecture that there was only one Mary in all the recorded instances and this is absolute poppycock. For ease of discussion we shall call the sister of Lazarus, Mary and Mary of Luke chapter seven by the name Mary Who. Mary Who washed the Lord’s feet with her tears because her action was first one of repentance, recognizing the Holiness of Jesus and according him the respect due the honored guest He was in her life. Only the servant of lowest status was called upon to accord the courtesy of foot washing when a guest entered one’s home if the master of the house did not do it himself. She saw herself in such light in contrast to the Pharisees who had not even offered Jesus water to wash his own feet. A Pharisee never gains a true understanding of spiritual relationship to Christ. There was no need for our first Mary to wash Jesus’ feet for His friends and those that truly love him always accord him the honor of his position in creation. He would not be sitting down to eat at any banquet with unwashed feet where Martha and Mary were in attendance. When I was first led of the Spirit to this writing surrounding these scripture I leaped to the conclusion that the Mary of the washing and the tears was Mary Magdalene out of whom our Lord cast seven demons. It is possible it may have been so, but I cannot say it, for the Spirit will not allow me to travel farther in such investigation. But I can say for certain it was not the sister of Lazarus. This Mary Who was a courtesan or prostitute and must have at some time repented to Jesus before the occasion, or was led of the Spirit upon arrival to do so, for it says she sought Jesus out when she knew he was there. The fact is she was a woman of repentance whose sins were forgiven while our Mary was one who from the beginning sat at Jesus feet listening to him. Our Mary was the woman whom the Jews sought out to support in her time of mourning, while Mary Who was one who our Pharisee scorned as he did our Lord. The water for the feet, the kiss and the oil for the head were but common courtesy among the Jews and the Lord uses this to contrast the indifference of the Pharisees with the brokenness and heartfelt love of the repentant sinner. It was a basic custom of the Jews to show kindness and respect for their guest by greeting them with a kiss and to anoint them with oil. This was as commonplace as for us to wash our face. If one kissed the feet it was a sign of deep reverence and an action often accorded the leading rabbis. Mary Who did all these things while the Pharisee only judged Jesus in unrighteous manner because of his own spiritual blindness. She saw Jesus as her messiah, Lord and King while the Pharisee did not see him whatsoever. The friends of Jesus do not serve such a man as this, one who scorns Jesus, disrespects him and through his own choosing walks in spiritual blindness after he has invited the Lord in. Mary and Martha would never serve the hypocrite who cannot receive the rebuke or chastisement of their Lord. Both Mary’s were led of the Holy spirit in their actions and these are seen in greatest accord when they used their hair to wipe the feet of Jesus. Among the Jews it was considered a shameful thing for a woman to let down her hair in public and in using their hair in the manner they did both women showed their absolute submission, faith and trust in Jesus. They physically displayed their spiritual belief that no shame in man’s eyes was too great to be born as His servants or friend. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”(Ro 10:10-11) Jesus has stated, “whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”(M’t 10:32) For the friends of Jesus this is not some private declaration of a particular creed or adherence to doctrines of a sect or denomination of faith, but a living out in ones daily life an obedient servant’s status through public confession and demonstration of ones faith. Verbally calling Jesus Lord and then denying it through ones actions, such as condoning of homosexual sin, just does not provide one with a passing grade in this school ground of the flesh and assures them of punishments and loss. No true friend of Jesus will ever hear Him deny him as His brother.
When Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick he had delayed going to him for two more days, stating, “this sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, let us also go, that we may die with him.”(Jn 11:4-16) The distance that he traveled to Lazarus and his delay in start is what placed him there in God’s timing and in no manner reflected a lack of love for the family. Jesus wept when he saw them in their sorrow “for we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin”. (Heb 4:15) When Christ said he was glad about the circumstance of Lazarus it was only because he knew the events would bring greater glory unto the Father and it would increase the disciples faith. He felt the anguish of his friends sorrow and if you are going to serve God as Jesus requires you also shall feel the anguish of having to let those you love go through pain to mature them in stage growth of becoming the sons of the living God. The pain that Martha and Mary underwent with the sickness of Lazarus was far less than that of experiencing his separation by death. In turn, the joy of his being healed could never compare with that of having their Lord show the depth of His love by returning him from the grave. Remember this lesson, for our God often refuses to answer our prayers and turns up the fires of affliction so He can confer a greater kindness or blessing toward us than what we are asking for through human emotional desire or need.
Through the raising of Lazarus Jesus reminded everyone that he was Lord over life and death, as he had shown through resurrection of the daughter of Jarius and the widow of Nain’s son. The sheer drama of this event was different however for he waited until Lazarus was in the actual tomb, had physically decayed four days and the stone needed to be rolled back. Think about the effect upon the minds watching the events that day. “Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, loose him, and let him go.” (Jn 11:38-44) In many ways Jesus was putting a contrast into place with his own resurrection to occur not many days later to leave no doubt of whom He is. Jesus never doubted his relationship to the Father nor the purpose for his actions. He knew he was to bolster the faith of man, convert them to their true call in His kingdom and drive back the kingdom of darkness to its absolute annihilation. He did all these things through the events about the graves. Could not Jesus have achieved the same results if he had raised Lazarus after one day, two days or three? He could not if he was to remain within His father’s perfect timing and will. He knew that the Father always heard him and he also knew the outcome of events. When you come to the position of complete obedience to Christ you too shall speak and act many times in a manner that is designed to direct others toward their God. They may not understand your actions or your words, but they will understand who is present when He acts after speaking to Himself through you. You will have become at one with your God in obedient relationship to Him. You will truly be the friend of the Lord Jesus Christ and you too shall say to the Father: “I knew that thou hears me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me”.
Coming to complete obedience you will have assumed your rightful inheritance as a Son of God that was bought for you through the precious blood of the Lamb.
THE HATED OF ALL
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.” (Philippians 3:13-15)
Having read the foregoing scripture grasp the fact that if you are to fulfill the word of God contained that the time shall evolve that you will face becoming ‘the hated of all nations’ or even ‘the hated of all men’ as stated by Jesus. Your desire for absolute obedience to the word of God by determining to win ‘the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus’ shall evolve you to this position. The timing and some conditions surrounding such state of being are spoken to by Jesus in the following scripture:
“And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 10:21-22)
“And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. (v12) Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. (v13) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take anything out of his house: And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. (v19) For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.” (Mark 13:10-20)
“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (4) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. (5) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (6) And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. (9) Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. (10) And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. (11) And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (12) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (14) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads let him understand:) (16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: (17) Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: (18) Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. (19) And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! (20) But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: (21) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (22) And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. (Matthew 24: 3-22)
“And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? (v7) And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.(v8) But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.(v9) Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom (v10) And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.(v12) But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.(v12) And it shall turn to you for a testimony.(v13) Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: ( v14) For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.(v15) And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.(v16) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.(v17) But there shall not an hair of your head perish.(v18) In your patience possess ye your souls.(v19) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.(v20) Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into.(v21) For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.(v22) But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.(v23) And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (v24) And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (v25) Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. (v26) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.(v27) And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh. (Luke 21:7-28)
In the foregoing scriptures Jesus states many signs and events that must transpire precedent to his return, but the overriding timing factor or signal given to answer the disciples’ question: “but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?” is a composite of the entire message spoken in the scriptures quoted. The Lord states: “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” He does not state that every man and nation must hear that he is the Son of God through whom salvation is available before he shall return as most theologians espouse. It is subsequent to the events of “this gospel of the kingdom” that is a “witness unto all nations” that the world shall “see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” as our redemption as a church draws nigh. Most consider the gospel to be the message of Jesus Christ as the savior, but gospel (G2098) simply means a good message. While many of the events spoken to in the foregoing scripture are of a earthly horrific or humanistic terrifying nature the message is good for the sons of God awaiting the Lords return. The timings, the warnings and the exact instructions of what to do for assured protection and victory throughout is a good message and the gospel that “shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” All men alive precedent to and during these events shall have been informed of their unfolding. That final warning worldwide to encompass all shall occasion during what are known as the Three Angel’s Messages of Revelation. But what needs be watched for precedent in the social-political degeneration taking place worldwide as the Anti-Christ one world government arises to the fore is: “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.” Jerusalem the city shall be compassed about by many armies from many nations. Not just the armies of the Arab and Muslim nations that currently surround Israel. I delineate this timing factor later in this work but first you must fully grasp the hatred espoused to those who believe upon the name of Jesus.
If you are determined to run the race for ‘the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus’ then you will have to grasp and accept that to do so you must become willing to be “the hated of all men for my name’s sake.” (Matthew 10:22; Mark 13:14; Luke 21:17) The meaning is exactly the same in all three gospel quotes. First, a general persecution by some segment of mankind is not what is being spoken here for “all men” means exactly that. All (G3956) has root meaning of any, every, the whole: no men of any tribe, nation or tongue are excluded from this. Hated (G3404) has the root meaning of detested and persecuted. The reason that all men shall detest and desire to persecute you is not because of your denominational quirks or particular interpretations of some scripture, it is simply because you stand for the fullness of the name of Jesus, simple belief upon His name and the reality of who He is. Dig through the root usage of ‘my name’s sake’ employed here and you will find that it encompasses both His authority and character. You will become the hated of all men only to the degree that you are the living embodiment of the authority and character of the Lord Jesus Christ. The ‘working out of your salvation in fear and trembling’ that is encompassed here is simply part of the testing and purification that the Lord employs in raising His sons in this school ground of the flesh. But, it is a pathway that you cannot avoid if you wish to earn the rewards of the overcomers as spoken to in the Revelation. It is a walk of obedience and surrender to the Christ Jesus that indwells you that leads to the increased manifestation of His being through you as you become ‘as your Lord’. As these occasion you will truly come to grasp what Jesus meant when He stated: ‘without me you can do nothing’. I can guarantee you that should you determine to occupy the ranks of the remnant that the following words of David shall at some point be yours: “I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children. For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. (Psalms 69:8-9) Speak the fullness of His truth to those who sit in the judgment seats of both church and state and the words of Amos shall soon encompass you as they encompassed our Lord: “ They hate him that rebukes in the gate, and they abhor him that speaks uprightly.”
Employed here hate (H8130) is from a primitive root meaning to be personally hated and regarded as an enemy, foe and odious person. People will regard you as such because you rebuke ( H3198) them, that is you correct them from a righteous position, arguing and convincing of the truth with full authority to chasten them from the word of God as necessary. The ‘gates of the city’ is where all civil and legal matters were traditionally settled or enacted. You will not only be hated you will also be abhorred (H8581). From its root this means that you will be loathed and regarded as morally detestable and an abomination to those that believe they are in correct accord with God. Those in religious authority will abhor you for speaking uprightly (H8549) which means you’re speaking the truth entirely, uprightly, without blemish, complete, full, perfect, sincerely, sound, without spot, undefiled, whole. Rest assured that persons in positions of religious authority will question your loyalty or position in Christ Jesus in a manner to attempt to make you react in unrighteous anger. Think on this: the Jews accused Christ of rebellion against the Roman government, a totally unfounded accusation. What shall you be accused of for much of what you speak shall be misrepresented by your accusers. Such ploy was used with Jesus so why will it not be tried on you? Jesus stated: “destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up”, referring to his physical body, not the physical Temple. And Jesus never once intimated he would destroy the physical Temple. Such forms of misrepresentation are one of Satan’s most frequent ploys. Expect them! (John 2:19; Mark 14:58)
Expect as well your motivation for serving God, for speaking at all will be brought under scrutiny. Those who are preaching for selfish reasons, for money, for position or power will accuse you of the same. Stand firm for the truth and they will also attempt to entice you into their midst. And further, the times will certainly place you where you shall be tested as to your ability to confront authority in great challenges to your personal security. Do not hesitate, invoke this scripture for yourself now and get on with levelling the path for Our Returning King! “Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.” (Psalms 40:14-15) Amen
THERE IS NO DECEPTION WHEN WALKING WITH THE SONS OF GOD
“A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.” (Proverbs 18:2)
A pall of deception hangs like a heavy cloud over many North American churches as we face the soon appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. This insidious mist has drifted from our shores to most nations of the earth and is evidence of the ‘great falling away’ that must take place within the church prior to Christ’s return. (2Th 2:3-4) This is a time of waning faith and denial of sound Christian doctrine. How many souls are to lodge within such deception only the Holy Spirit knows but the fact remains we must try to set the captives free. I know there is a final cleansing fire coming upon my own nation of Canada. Of this I have no doubt for our churches are buried in the cultural rubble and filth of man that must be burned off by the all-consuming fire that is our God if Jesus Christ is to receive His bride ‘without spot or wrinkle’. If any singular element of deception gives an overwhelming flavor to the North American culture it is the hedonistic preoccupation with the ‘god of self’. We are a nation occupied with self-help philosophies, self-discovery methods and self-centered concerns about developing the greatest potential of our ‘self’. We are people intent upon self-gratification and it is no coincidence that entertainment remains the fastest growing sector of our economy. We are a population that demands immediate satisfaction of our perceived needs in food, fashion and transportation, and this we do with an attitude that anything new is somehow better. Our occupancy with self-concerns has impacted the church and the sad fact is that the more self-centered we have become the easier it has been for Satan to turn such living to his advantage and our societal destruction. Individually and as assemblies we have become so flavored by self-centeredness that such attitude leaves many standing in threat of the warning given by Jesus to the church at Laodicea. (Re 3:14-19) Numerous assemblies have become little more than highly developed social services delivery mechanisms and ritualistic blessing organizations. Such groups may appear to be a hub of activity and Christ directed while in fact their work for the Lord or occupancy with manifesting spiritual gifts has actually embedded itself between them and Jesus. They have in essence left their first love as Christ states to Ephesus and are blinded by what they genuinely believe they are doing in the Spirit and for the Lord. The tragedy is that such gatherings appear incapable of discerning and correcting their true condition without a painful chastisement by our Lord. The full impact of our culture upon the church has been so insidious and so far reaching that it can make one gasp with disbelief at what is accepted under the guise of Christianity. We have numerous men about the Church who all believe they are truly following and honoring Jesus and they are nothing but a symptom of a disease among us called deception that must have our attention now! How many of us have been infected by this spiritual virus of deception only our Lord knows. Ultimately every one of us must direct our full gaze back toward Jesus Christ and the healing word of God. The antidote for all spiritual ills is with Jesus and we may have it by simply drinking deeply of the truth of His word and trusting in the Holy Spirit to fill us with a new or renewed life in Christ. May you be blessed in commencing a walk toward total freedom from all deception this day!
Definition of Deception
Deception may entail fraud, double-dealing, subterfuge and trickery, but in a Christian context it essentially refers to the practices of one who deliberately deceives for a purpose of their own design or gain that results in a negative spiritual impact. In this arena of ‘spiritual deception’ there is normally the adoption of a stratagem of lying in order to escape guilt if one is self-deceived or to achieve an evil purpose if one is a worker of iniquity. Such deception may entail manifestations of supernatural signs and wonders that are used to elicit a trust or following of the person or entity that they appear to be manifesting through. These false signs are often an effort by the anti-Christ powers on behalf of their agents to attempt validation of their credibility as a genuine servant of God. These deceivers need to appear as true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ to achieve their destructive ends. God states that deliberate deception and self-deception bring one misery. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight.” (Isa 5:20-21)
Self-deception must be looked at in the context of a deliberate submission to temptation. Temptation may involve trials, testing and seductions that enmesh us in the urge to do things we know are morally wrong. Rest assured that we are all troubled and tested by such urges. These temptations can be a terrible evil in men’s minds such as murder, torture, rape, genocide and incest, or something we regard as minor and tend to excuse such as gossip, muttering or petty outbursts of temper. Our reality is that anything that separates us from God, whether big or small in a man’s thinking, is large in the mind of God for He created us to be one with Him! Sin is abomination to our God and alienates humanity from him, resulting in divine condemnation for our remaining bound in this cursed condition. The human heart with its inherent bent towards evil through fleshy weaknesses and failings may lead one to sins such as ignorance, folly, unbelief, hardness of heart, deceit, pride, riotous behavior and evil passions. Temptation must always be resisted because it is an offense to God when we succumb to it. Like the prophet Daniel we should make a prior resolution not to fall victim to temptation when it presents itself. “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat; nor with the wine he drank.” (Da 1:8) Satan or his agents will try to tempt us through our own weaknesses and lusts whether they be for food, sex, power or any other thing that can separate us from God. “Everyman is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.” (Jas 2:14-15) Why do I say that self-deception entails deliberate submission to temptation? Because God tells us that temptation is common to all and that He gives us the strength to bear any such testing and provides us with a pathway to escape from it: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (1Co 10:13) Never forget that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Ps 46:1) Ultimate victory over temptation is not simply an exercise of human will power for Christians know that absolute self-control is a ‘fruit of the Holy Spirit’ in their lives. However, the maturing of this fruit in one’s life demands the exercise of one’s free will to find and walk the ‘way of escape’ from temptation. We must choose self-denial and refuse to be involved in anything not necessary for a life of service to God. Sometimes self-denial may become extreme and in such cases it is called asceticism. Some consider celibacy to be a positive example of such asceticism while others see the practice of dietary food laws as a negative format. (Re 14:4; 1Ti 4:1-5)
Self-denial should entail avoidance of excess or gluttony in any form. “Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall cloth a man with rags.” (Prov 23: 20-21) All lack of self-control or incontinency is to be shunned and we are to keep ourselves under physical control through bringing the body of the flesh into subjection. “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1Co 9:27) “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” (Ga 5:24) “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. For which things sake the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.” (Col 3:5-6) We are not children of disobedience and thus we should always take deliberate steps toward the choice of God fearing self-denial. The choice to live righteous in Christ Jesus remains ours. Like Solomon we need only ask for discernment between good and evil to judge the circumstance of our fellow man. (1Ki 3:9) We should also ask for this same light to first always shine into our own affairs. No matter the cost or the temptation faced we should determine to be like Moses and “to suffer affliction with the people of God, rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.” (Heb 11:25) To be blessed we must separate from the sinner and his methods for, “blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” (Ps 1:1-2) There must be conscious effort on our part to make a deliberate choice to seek God’s will and walk in complete obedience to His word. (2Pe 1: 4-8) One must humble themselves before the Lord with full realization of the necessity of continuously relying upon His help for guarantee of victory over all temptation. One must accept the fact that without Jesus they can do nothing to walk in the perfect Holiness of the Father as we are commanded. “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matt 5:48) When we deliberately choose to follow our own human carnal desires and try to justify such actions through the word of God we have trod self-willfully into the wasteland of self-deception! The denial of the call of God for us to walk in His word and our own self-justification in not doing so can lead to a hardness of heart. God forbid we may then become living examples of Isaiah 66: 4 which states: “ I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.” It is a frightening thought that if one continuously refuses God’s call, directions or correction that He may cast them into a world of their own delusion. Delusion in Biblical definition is ‘a wandering’ or mental straying whereby those so led roam hither and thither in wrong opinion and moral error. In this spiritual wasteland our nomads are certain of their correct moral positioning and yet are pushed about by their pride, worries, fears and desire for power or position. Today such persons may be highly religious and outwardly maintaining a grand illusion of Christian appearance. Jesus warned about such scribes and Pharisees when he said “whatever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not.” (Matthew 23:1–7) Many of our modern Charismatic church leaders appear to have fallen into such a pit in that the Lord is still using them to minister and disseminate the truth while in their daily living there are evidenced filthy lies. Some have gone so far as to become a ‘spiritual ho’. In my writing at times you shall encounter the word ‘ho’ which is a modern slang expression for the word whore. Such expression I see as appropriate and attachable to both male and female involved in a physically or spiritually whorish lifestyle leading away from God. When ‘ho’ forms part of a given name it refers to a person trapped in some degree of whorish spiritual behavior and wandering out of the light of God’s word. Ho will probably be an appropriate designation attached to those that flee the call to Thinwah.
Matter of the Heart
Deception, self-deception and delusion are three steps downward in the companionship of satanic spirits. These are stairs we should not tread in company we can ill afford to keep. In actuality there are many ‘anti-Christ’ spirits at play amid our ranks as stated in the Bible. We have looked briefly at some of these dark entities and then showed clearly from the Word how to make simple and absolute proof as to who is a genuine follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Church cannot continue to be occupied by agents of the ‘angel of light’ nor ‘self-deceived persons’ who genuinely believe they are walking in the truth of God. Given the command to ‘redeem the time’ and the shortness of such time prior to our Lord’s return we must live and speak as Jesus, stating “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4) I pray the Lord will use this writing to strengthen you through these days of great deception and that the Holy Spirit will help you to slip off any yokes of bondage you may have dressed yourself within or allowed others to place upon your neck. Remember that “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” (2Ti 3: 12-13) Deception shall grow greater the closer we are to Christ’s return but take heart for the one who lives in you has overcome it all and He will preserve and protect those that have chosen to be His friend. Let these words be a comfort to you as evil daily increases upon our earth. “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shall be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thy heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.” (Ps 37:1-6) There is no need for any aspect of deception, self-deception or delusion to affect your life if your heart has been surrendered fully to the living God that indwells us. In such a state you will be able to easily apply the ‘spiritual anti-dotes’ necessary to counteract all the poisoned Church assaults on the Body of Christ. Unfortunately it is the modern Church itself that is willfully dispensing the doctrines that are leading to its own disease, destruction and death to the glee of Satan.
Scripture tells us ” the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him” and “that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that fears Him, and works righteousness, is accepted with Him.” (2Ch 16: 9; Ac 10:34-35) These scripture are designed for our assurance as His sons, showing us that He is always present to act on our behalf and that He treats all equally irrespective of gender and race if we diligently seek Him in righteous manner. Walking in His righteousness means one must actively defend the gospel through the powers they have been given while never losing sight that they are the dispenser of Gods’ justice while neither the master nor creator of it. The true ministers of God will never traffic in the gifts of the Spirit to garner their living or amass the unrighteous fortunes that many presently do under the pretense of Christian works. The Lords command in using the power we have been given to carry out His miraculous works is very simple, “freely ye have received, freely give”. (Matt 10:8) The sons of God obey this command and they also are prepared to discipline those that do not to whatever degree God requires of them. Elisha had no difficulty in exercising all the authority he was given both to bless and to punish as was required. In 2 Kings we read of the curing of Naaman of his leprosy and Elishas’ absolute refusal to accept any form of gift for Gods enactment and the subsequent deceit by his servant Gehazi. This man runs after Naaman, pretends Elisha sends him, and secures gifts of silver and clothing and returns home where he hides the booty and lies to the prophet when questioned by him. Through the power of the Spirit, the gift of discernment, Elisha knew all that had transpired and for his lying, covetousness and slander of God’s word immediately cursed Gehazi with the leprosy that had been upon Naaman. “And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.” (2Ki 5:27) Are you prepared to walk in all obedience as was Elisha or are you so unbalanced in your stance that all you can envision is being seen as a man dispensing His blessings and never His curses? Refuse to listen, refuse to execute God’s justice as He ascribes and you have dropped out of the race for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. But for you that have come to the point where you reject Christ through refusing to accept the truth of His word that has been presented I admonish you not to deliberately fight against the work of God for it shall result in your spiritual chastisement greater than the physical suffering that came upon the Jews through the Chaldeans. (Hab 1:1-10) Jesus Christ is living out through us now the works greater than, His time of the Millennial rule is fast approaching and you have been informed of these events. I therefore reissue words of warning given through both Habakkuk and Paul. “Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, that which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.” (Acts 13:40-41) If you do not believe what I have been led to write then simply quietly withdraw from running the race and join the masses blankly watching an empty track as Jesus disappears over a hill far distant.
True discipleship lives through following Jesus fully conformed to His word and in His image stated; and Jesus casts the only shadow that is shelter from the wrath of the Father for those that reject the Son. Do not miss out on becoming all you can be in Christ. Stop right now and thank God that you know His word is true, that you know yourself to be a son of God and that “no man can say that Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Ghost.” (1Co 12:3) Right now acknowledge He is your Lord and that He is speaking to you when He says: “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you.” (Jn 15:16) Now ask Him that the enemy never again penetrate your mind with seeds of doubt as to His word that ‘ye are gods’ and then thank Him that “you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen. Yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are: that no flesh should glory in His presence.” (1Co 1:26-29) Now get up from your knees prepared to talk less and listen more so you can execute the justice He demands you do according to His purposes, will and in His perfect timing. As we close this sector I leave you with a couple more points surrounding the miraculous and Gods use of you for a vehicle of such enactments. First, realize it is only through faith in the power of God and for His glory that miracles will take place at all. The presence of the power of God, the gifts of the Spirit and the timing of the miraculous are totally God dependent and directed. The gifts of the Spirit are only present as God wills them to be and may be removed temporarily by Him to facilitate His purposes. We again look to a lesson from the life of Elisha where he is dealing with the Shunammite woman who has approached him in great distress over the death of her son. The prophet clearly states his discernment or prophetic gift of understanding her reason for coming was blocked by God, for he only comprehended her need when she unburdened herself at his feet. “And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.” (2Ki 4:27) So God at times may leave you in a blank of spiritual understanding. Second, although most miraculous events are occasioned almost instantly there are times where cures of physical afflictions or acts of God with the elements of nature are progressive in their emergence. We see this in one case of restoration of sight to a blind man by Jesus and the return of rain following the drought through Elijah’s appeal on Mount Carmel. (Mark 8:22-25; 1Ki 8:41-45) Thus, God may at times make you wait for emergence of what you know He has spoken to. No matter how our God chooses to act or not act through us, no matter how difficult a circumstance may be He calls upon us to stand through may our words always be those of our Jesus: “Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.” (Mark 14:36) You know you have been chosen of God according to His purposes when you always desire His will above your own whether you understand His purposes or not.
MEEKNESS The Christian virtue of meekness has been distorted by many to a belief that such persons should be of a gentle nature and should always ‘turn the other cheek’. This is far from the truth for the disciple of Christ reacts within a given set of circumstance in accordance with the purpose that God has for his life within the events. The meek person does not react outside the will of God in accordance with his own emotional needs or desires. But to think that he will always react with gentleness or kindness is to become a ploy of the enemy. Take one scriptural admonition alone and it should start to bring some light into the matter: “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.” (Eph 4:26-27) You can exhibit great anger and sin not, take the example of David with Goliath, and you see you can be a vehicle of great ‘wrath of God’ but never of your own. The virtue of meekness is a strong shield against self-righteousness and intolerant judgments of others but it never excuses or condones sin. The meek person understands sin more clearly than most and thus his judgment is tempered to avoiding reacting more harshly than is necessary, but the meek will always display an implacable resistance to evil in defense of God. Remember Jesus made a whip of rope, overturned tables and drove the livestock, their sellers, and moneychangers from the Temple compound because they had turned God’s house into a common market place through their sacrilege. It is our Jesus that also lived such that: “He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench.” (Matt 12:19-20) Jesus always committed himself to the Father for his actions in righteous judgment and we are to do the same.
If you think you will walk through your life without conflict with man when you are truly in the will of God you are wrong. And as to this meekness that you must truly come to grips with do you remember Moses? Considered the meekest among many of his time, most often he was a sharpened sword of steel in standing against evil. There was no hesitation on his part to execute about three thousand idolaters that worshiped the Golden Calf while he was alone on the mountain with God. (Ex 32:25-28) Remember this the next time some lisping effeminate or homosexually driven pastor tells you that you must accept his ilk in the pulpit or the bedrooms of the Kingdom of God! Meek does not mean weak in the face of sin! You who love God, hate evil’. “Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the Lord your God gives you.” (Deut 12:8-9) The fullness of this rest and the granting of your heart’s desires can only be ultimately realized through the keeping of the Lord’s Sabbath and Mandatory Holy Days. Try keeping them as Jesus has shown us and watch your meekness become tested to the limit. Satan and most of the religious church world shall persecute you until you take the full authority that is yours and exercise the ‘power of life and death that is in your tongue’. If you do not have the faith to use the fullness of your heritage then “be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10) Emboldened for Our Lord or not, you shall see the execution of the Thinwah as it falls all about you, so fear not.
In theology the ‘elect’ refers to an individual or groups that enjoy a privileged designation of special relationship with God. The concept of election contains within it the ideas of ‘to pick out, to choose or select from among two or more that which is preferred above something else’. It means to manifest one’s preference by selection or designation in some manner. Those who are the elect of most mercy or favor are the human beings designated by the grace of God for salvation and eternal life that it entails. In this sense it is God’s doing something that our own merit or power has no part in. In simplest definition the elect means the chosen or selected by God that are separated from the world according to His love and purpose. The blatant fact is that God does choose among people in the events of eternal consequence and as difficult as it is to accept at times we shall not understand all his reasons and purposes for doing so until our translation. This election by God is neither part of nor does it lend any weight to the predestination bickering that takes place among men. Fore-appointment or true predestination of God is seen in His absolute decrees such as all that believe in Jesus as their path of redemption have the power to become the son of God. This predestination does not forgo the fact of necessary individual action of the sons and daughters of men answering such call. As well, true predestination is shown in the statement of events that will occur with absolute assurance such as the rewards given to Christ’s faithful and the events of the Great White Throne Judgment. There is no way of changing these established judgment events nor their established timing for this is predestination. Boundaries to created time and pivotal key events have been set in eternity and within such boundaries man has been given the rules of conduct necessary to his own best interests that he must choose to apply to himself.
In most instances of usage the terms elect or chosen have simple reference to God’s action of selection without throwing any light upon previous eternal purposes for such choosing. This is particularly true in the case of salvation and His original choice of one group of people above another selected to be his heirs of salvation. What was His reason for preferring them in such manner? We know that His purposes for selection were eternal and for His own pleasure but we do not have clear explanation of His reason for preference as He has done. (Eph 1:4-5) God’s selection is not something of blind chance and certainly is founded upon what He knows to be best. So why did He choose you and I? That is the core to a mystery of salvation that God will not unwrap for any man until the translation and we come to the fullness of the stature of His son Jesus Christ. Just thank God that you are elect and an heir of salvation and do not allow Satan to try to insert his voice in place of the one leading and guiding you. Are you familiar with the voice of the Lord and His manners of speaking? He says His sheep do know His voice. Whatever, at the time when our Lord spoke to the matter of new tongues he also said “he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16) Satan has led men to leap upon this scripture and create a doctrine that you have to be baptized to know salvation, when in reality what is being stated is related first to belief and not baptism. Without belief in the gospel of Christ there will never take place any form of baptism and one is already damned irrespective of baptism if they do not have the belief designated. The fact is no baptism can occur without the factor of first believing the gospel. Baptism is the result of one’s first believing and not in any form a precursor to it. As well, this doctrine of must be baptized to be saved denies the scripture that salvation is a free gift of God that no man can earn in any manner. This doctrine thus distorts the essential truth of salvation and the price that Christ paid at the Cross to secure this for man. Our first belief of the gospel is the free gift of salvation that God gives to whom He has chosen as the sons and daughters of the living God (the elect). The first belief in the gospel is the free gift of salvation that God offers to the sons and daughters of men who choose to believe upon the name of Jesus. It is through this free choice that they can know the same blessing as the elect of God, but in this choosing they in no manner earn their salvation, they simply accept what is being freely offered. When men state that a person must be baptized to be saved they are claiming that an action on the part of man is precursor to his salvation. Believing such doctrine stands them further under a cloud of deception and leads them into more binding doctrines of works that fall back upon the flesh and not the spirit of God. You cannot believe in any manner that the free gift of access to eternal life in Christ is dependent upon any action of yourself and not be wandering astray into the fleshy works of man. If one expresses the belief that you must be baptized to be saved they are condemning themselves with their own mouth for they are in essence denying the Word of God and the Blood of Christ at the Cross. The election of God through salvation establishes the unquestionable facts that all rights to first position and first choice belong to our sovereign God. We must simply accept the fact that it is “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.” (Titus 3:5-9)
That God chooses and selects people for positions is unquestionable and knowledge that you are one of the elect should be unshakable as well. You can prove your election of God by washing yourself in the water of the Word and through being ‘Holy, as the Father in heaven is Holy’. The most solid earthly proof of your election, both for yourself and as presentation to your fellow man, is practical evidence of righteous living and a fervent desire for it to become more and more so. The best method of doing this is to become as one with Jesus Christ through recognition of who you truly are for Jesus is the manifestation of the elect of God. “Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.”(Isa 42:1) As the elect of God know at least these few things about yourself:
1. There is no confusion or shame for the elect about belief in Jesus. “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.” (1Peter 2:6)
2. The elect cannot be deceived through lying signs and wonders. “For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matthew 24:24)
3. You are justified by God and no one can judge you except yourself. “Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifies.” (Romans 8:33)
4. You are the reason the great tribulation is shortened. “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”(Matthew 24:22; Mark 13:20)
Accept no confusion or deception about your being justified by God for among those being saved from the Great Tribulation is you, for you are the elect and are very important in the eyes of God. If you are important then so is everyone else that He has elected to offer salvation through belief upon the name of His son. Therefore if you are called to an office of leadership joyfully “endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” (2Ti 2:10) Even if called to the high office of apostolic leadership through Christ we do so through becoming the servants of God and being His servant requires you dwell in truth as stated by Paul “a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth, which is after godliness.” (Titus 1:1) The truth is He chose man for salvation and man did not choose Him. After His first choosing all are offered the choice of running the race of righteous living to qualify for eternal rewards and positions of service to Him during the Millennial rule. The Overcomers of Revelation, the martyred saints, the 144,000 servants, the two end times prophets and the Millennial prime minister for Christ all require an endurance and dedication to our Lord in a race which appears greater than as spoken to in John 14:12. The fore-mentioned elect are discussed at some length in my book The Creation of Adam and Them should you care to delve into it.
There are different groups and individuals laying claim to the titles of being ‘the elect’ or ‘true saints’ and also the belief only they will be supernaturally protected from the wrath of the Dragon and wrath of God during the coming Great Tribulation. An examination of Revelation chapter twelve shows that there are actually two groupings of Christians at this time in need of the protection of God from the great persecutions befalling. There are those that as or with ‘the woman fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent’ (Rev 12:14) and the others selected to remain and make war with the dragon as stated following. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Rev 12:17) Instead of wanting to flee or escape the tribulations one should desire to be in the ranks of this remnant for ‘many are called, but few are chosen!’ These chosen are such persons that keep the commandments of God and walk in unflinching obedience to His word and His will. Their faith is such that they know God will never place them in a circumstance they cannot endure or will not work out to their ultimate eternal good. It is stated these persons also “have the testimony of Jesus Christ”. What does this mean? From Strong’s G3144 testimony is defined as evidence given (judicially or generally): – record, report, testimony, witness. Now, both those in the wilderness and the remnant have the record, report, testimony, witness about the truth of Jesus and who he is or they would not be a part of the elect. Thus, it is the testimony of Jesus on behalf of the remnant that is being alluded to. He has certified that they are qualified to continue the ‘race for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus’ through the testing of the tribulations due to the wrath of Satan. So seek to join these ranks and recall the Lord states in all matters of life that we ‘fear not’. You cannot fear tribulation be it small or great and ever know the fullness of the rewards available to you. Also as the Word states, one of Gods’ covenants is the covenant of the Ten Commandments: “And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even Ten Commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.” (Deut 4:13) It is your degree of obedience to these commandments that determines the degree of position or authority you will wield for Jesus during his Millennial Rule. So I advise you to simply believe Gods’ word and have the patience of the elect saints called to form the remnant that are to war with Satan. These elect are described in Revelation 14 as those prepared to stand through to the degree of martyrdom if called to such. Scripture states of such: “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Rev 14:12) Patience from Strong’s G5278 is defined as ‘cheerful (or hopeful) endurance, constancy: – enduring, patience, patient continuance (waiting).’ Saints from H2282 are those who are ‘sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): – (most) holy (one, thing), saint.’ Faith from G3982 is defined as ‘persuasion, that is, credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly constancy in such profession; by extension the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself: – assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.’ Within all this defining in the simple fact that such persons have absolute faith in Jesus Christ and the Word of God. However, we can take this a step further to state that such persons have come to realization that they not only have faith in Jesus, but that they live by the very faith of Jesus Christ and not their own: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Gal 2:20) This entails a trust beyond all human understanding, a trust embedded in one’s heart that only God can plant amid His elect. Living by the faith of Jesus one can do whatever the Father states, even in the greatest difficulties and circumstances! Even to the degree of facing the animosity of all men. And, rest assured in your answering His call to Thinwah at this time you shall become the ‘hated of all men”.
NOT CHOSEN TO BELIEVE, HEAR OR OBEY
Not All to Believe or To Hear
Within the ecumenical movement there are many people who have not been created to hear the truth of God or they have been blinded to the Truth through their refusal to listen. This is spoken to in the scriptures and Satan has also copycatted a similar claim in his Surah Al-Baqarah 6-7 which states “verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you O Muhammad warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe. Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, they are closed from accepting Allah’s Guidance, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment.” Now, Jesus said “who hath ears to hear, let him hear.” (Matthew 13:9) As you read through the following scripture it is very clear that the message format used by God and some statutes given were enacted to deliberately keep certain people blind and deaf to the fullness of the truth of His word.
“And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speaks thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, ‘Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Elijah, which says, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.” (Matt 13:10-17)
“And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?” (Mark 4:11-13)
Take note, our Lord says that such persons are deliberately kept in this position “lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins forgiven them.” So who was Jesus referring to for there never will be a time for such characters to have their sins forgiven them. They range from individuals among the sons of men who start to grasp the gospel message “then cometh the devil, and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved” to the workers of iniquity that claim powerful relationship with Jesus while existing in absolute deception. (Luke 8:12) “Not everyone that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:21-23) So spiritual blindness and deafness is a deliberate plan of God for certain sectors of His human creation and in effect achieves His purposes. At all times obedient children must look for the will and purposes of God in their own lives as He raises them in the school ground of the flesh among both the deliberately blinded and self-willed disobedient sons and daughters of men.
Not All Statutes Are To Be Obeyed
As you read the following scripture take note that God enacted statutes in His written word that were not good for man and judgments resulting from these that they should not live by. Further, note this action came only after very negative spiritual actions on the part of the children of Israel and that God’s actions had a direct purpose that His children might come to know Him as He truly is. “I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries; because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols. Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live; and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that open the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 20:23-26)
So, what statutes and judgments did God give Israel that we should not keep or live by so that we will not be spiritually polluted? Which parts of the law do we fulfill correctly by not keeping them, and thus keep ourselves free of such spiritual pollution? Remember we are commanded to perfect or purify our Spirit and that “all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Ti 3:16-17) In all these matters we are simply facing tests for us in growth or maturing stages as sons of God. It is His choice to enact events in such manner and is our choice as to submission to His word to fulfill Gods’ timing for events and purposes in our lives. In this writing we are particularly concerned that all ‘given ears to hear’ come to fullness of truth whereby they despise none of His statutes and do not pollute themselves in any format because of their own idolatry and embracing of deceptions such as Islam. Who shall benefit from this effort? “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.” (Isaiah 28:9-13) If you refuse to hear, refuse to grasp what is referred to here then you too shall “fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken”. Satan will in effect at the very least tighten his snare to further rob you of rewards of the overcomers. So wake up! As you read this book of Thinwah you are receiving your personal final voice of warning! Read and heed for the time is short for you to come into correct accord with the Truth and to righteously defend all aspects of His word. The timeframe for those requiring deliberate blinding and deafening is about to end, for the ‘days of the gentiles’ and the ‘scattering of the Islamic horde’ are underway. “Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.” (Psalms 68:1) Flee you Amalekites and all hypocrites choosing to follow your blackened ways! With finality God is sending His sons and angelic hosts to wipe you from the earth! And as was spoken to Isaiah: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a tiel tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.” (Isaiah 6:8-13)
Responding to Isaiah’s question as to how long the deliberate ‘spiritual crippling’ of this people (the Jew) must occasion we are told in terms referring to a time after the restoration of Israel as a nation and a remnant or “holy seed” shall be at the centre of it. Jerusalem is the center of the nation of Israel and the ‘holy seed’ or ten per cent of the Jews that will be the ‘substance thereof’ and firmly rooted can only ultimately first occasion subsequent to their recognition of Jesus as their returned messiah. This comes to a complete fruition with His occupancy of the Millennial Throne but it is preceded by the Great Tribulation, catching out of the church (rapture) and other momentous events quickly emerging as ‘the son of perdition is exposed fully’. “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there comes a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholds that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now let’s will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thes 2:1-12) The end times events about us show clearly such timing at hand and rest assured you shall either gain or lose the Revelation rewards of the overcomers dependent upon your acceptance of the truth surrounding Islam and defend the Sabbath day truth of the fourth commandment. With the judgment calls you need to make on the pathway of salvation you should be running and not dragging your feet in the deception and muck of man. Make the words of Paul your own: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.” (Phi 3:13-15) Remove yourself from all religious traditions of man, stand alone with Jesus, look for nothing natural and judge yourself so our Lord will not have to judge you in any negative light. As to the statutes and ordinances not to be obeyed, they will be dealt with in correct accord within the ordering of these writings.
Judge Your Self
The apostle Paul compares our life in Christ and manner of living as His servants to being involved in a race for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus for which only one person may receive first place. He states “know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize? So run that ye may obtain.” (1Co 9:24) Further, he tells us how to win the race where he says “let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.” (Hebrews 12:1-4) With patience and endurance we must remain completely focused on Jesus as we discipline mind, body and spirit to vanquish every sin and set aside everything of the flesh that may slow us down, we must do so even to the point of death. The high calling of God demands the awareness and acceptance of our being sons of God and walking in His fullness of perfection. The prize awarded for being victor in running this race to perfection is singular, for one man shall act as Christ’s prime minister during the Millennial Rule and this person I have come to call ‘the rod man’. For their service in this race of preparation for the Millennium two others shall receive rewards of positions in closest proximity to His throne and while these men are known in the Bible as ‘the two prophets or two witnesses’ I affectionately think of these warriors of God as ‘the oil boys’. These are the three key Millennial Administrative offices that are rewarded to the followers and faithful servants of our Lord. There are many other positions of service and rewards given for those that overcome sin and we shall be looking briefly at some of them but it is the means of attaining these three key administrative Millennial positions of Christ that our Lord has stated I must point out to my brothers. I must do so to run the race in obedience for the sons of God have all been created equal in His eyes and have the inherited right of knowing both the rules of conduct and the timing of the race. Remember, we must all desire to be a victor in this race but this is not a victory we attain over one another, it is a victory over sin and it is such success that earns us the rewards of the overcomers spoken to in the Book of Revelation. Thus the time has come for you to fully judge your ‘self” so He will not have to judge you. And as with all matters of man’s spiritual life you can only do this by remaining focused on the Cross and the Blood of the Lamb; without Jesus and His finished work at the Cross you are powerless to attain even the slightest victory over sin that permeates the carnal flesh and mind of man. Without such focus on Jesus you will not defeat the Islamic forces but shall lose your head in the battle that is now underway! While a defeated foe the bloodline of Esau shall do all it can to destroy the Christian, the Jew and any man that is not blinded by the satanic faith of Allah. God’s decrees are eternal, unchangeable and include all things that have or ever will come to pass. “The counsel of the Lord stands for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.” (Psalms 33:11) God’s decrees are enacted through events by his own immediate agency or through ‘free agents’ he has determined shall be permitted by him to bring such circumstances into effect if they embody His righteousness. Given the immutability of God’s purposes, his infinite greatness and sovereignty, for a man to be chosen as his vessel for such potential use demands true humility and reverence in relationship with our Creator. Our God is an infinite, absolute, eternal, unchangeable and sovereign being both enacting and comprehending a plan that includes all his works of all kinds, both great and small, from the beginning of creation throughout an unending eternity. The totality of this action is incomprehensible by the finite intellect of any man. Because of the limitation of our faculties we tend to think of the works or enactments of God in partial aspects and in logical relationships comprehensible to the ‘natural mind’ whereas God’s decrees comprehend simultaneously all things that ever were or will be in their causes, conditions, successions and myriad relations. A ‘final decree’ surrounding the matters at hand thus always existed complete with his creation, it is simply their unveiling or revelation that takes place now in God’s perfect timing. Thinwah is but part of working out of our own salvation in fear and trembling, of writing the standards of our own judgment so that He will not have to judge us. It is a part of the maturing process of the sons of God. His decree that Amalek be wiped out eternally has been clearly spoken, so you judge thy self.
THE SONS OF GOD TO FEAR NOTHING
“The wicked flee when no man pursues: but the righteous are bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1)
It appears the second most frequent commandment given in the Bible is to fear nothing of the devil or man. I know for a certainty we are to only fear God: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28) We are to submit to no natural or fleshy fear of man and we are to have a reverential fear of our Lord. Fear or reverence of the Lord entails an awe of His holiness, power and position as our Creator. This proper respect of God is also felt in our reactions to His mighty works of sovereignty and destruction through nature. Fear of the Lord creates in us a wholesome dread of displeasing Him and a love of Him that produces a faith and trust beyond all human understandings. The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit creates in us the desire to please our God in every way we can. For Christians, those that call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, this matter of the fear of man is not about our salvation. Rather, such fear affects the pathway of our salvation and the rewards of the ‘overcomers’ that are earned through doing the works that Christ has called us to and which He alone can thoroughly furnish us for. (2Tim 3:16-17) However, should you choose to remain a fear filled or fear dominated Christian remember that God chastises those He loves and “it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31) For non-Christians that refuse to answer God’s salvation call and remain fear filled or rebellious the punishment is dreadful as God destroys His enemies and they face the eternal lake of fire. For either group, if they allow evil satanic fear to manipulate, interfere or stop them from answering the ‘call of God upon their lives’ and continuously refuse to listen when He speaks the punishment will be very severe.
One lie of Satan we hear uttered repeatedly is that God’s children have become powerless and that the church of the Book of Acts no longer exists. This hellish belief has clouded the minds of many and they are thus blinded to the true conditions unfolding about us. Instead of exercising the strengths and powers of God that are their inheritance many are turning more and more toward the organizations of man that the devil is erecting to secure their false security under a one world government. It is largely through fear that the enemy achieves his ends and God permits him such actions, for most of the fear generated is due to the desolation and decimation that is taking place among the wicked of the earth. The sons of God know the true state of our days and have no fear that God cannot provide for them in all circumstance. They have taken to heart His words: “Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.” (Prov 3:25-26) They refuse to accept the devilish doctrine of a powerless church and a powerless God knowing the signs of worldwide havoc are nothing more than indicators of the proximity of Christ’s return and further evidence of the supernatural powers that are bubbling from within them. Supernatural activity does not scare them for they know everything about our God and the way He acts is supernatural.
So, fear not for there shall be increasing magnitude and multitude of signs manifesting amid true believers the nearer Christ gets in His return for the church. The display of the true power of God may easily overwhelm the puny mind of man, causing him to retreat in fear at a time he should be praising God for the display He is pouring out through a brother. All such signs will be done in the name of Jesus through the power of the Spirit and to the glory of the Father. All gifts of the Spirit will pour forth in awesome display as witness to the gospel truth of Jesus Christ to facilitate the harvest of souls and perfection of the bride of Christ. The returning Jesus is the lion of the tribe of Judah and when presented to John in the vision of Revelation caused him to fall down in fear and trembling as if dead. John was familiar with Christ to the degree of having his head upon the Lord’s breast while He walked the earth and yet the awesome appearance leveled him with fear. Jesus told John to fear not and it is the same message the Lord is speaking to us in these end times. Fear not as Jesus manifests his true power amid men. Expect the manifestation of Gods power as the natural order in the church and not something relegated to other men and times. It is the Lord that is calling forth individuals, refining them within assemblies and building His perfect church. Do not fear the supernatural working through you or men you least expect to be used in such manner. Simply test the spirits and act according to the Word for it is stated: “I am the Lord, I change not.” (Mal 3:6) Jesus is our Creator controlling all fearsome powers and all his written word shall be fulfilled. Thus, we have come to an unfolding of God’s time when large numbers are being given a final altar call as many have made pretense of being Christian while never fully surrendering their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. They now face a Joshua call: “And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve.” (Jos 24:15) The Bible is replete with examples of God facing His people with such choices when they have gone astray. How much wandering from the truth has occasioned in the church precedent to the days we are now enmeshed within? Look about and you will see that Satan has blinded too many to the awesome holiness of our God and that is why the ravages are falling in nearly every land on the face of the earth. Both the new to Christ and others walking with him for many years are being prepared not to fear His wrath that is falling on others in their midst refusing to answer the Joshua call. All fence sitters are being pushed from their spiritual perch and must knowingly choose where they fall. Do not fear their fall as they splatter about you in unholy assemblies that have strayed from our God. Just duck aside and carry on speaking the truth of God’s word.
All signs and wonders shall follow men of God as they preach His word without reservation and compromise. The Lord has been rebuilding such men to stand solidly upon His word through perfecting their hearts toward him. Such men have grown weary of the godless abominations in both church and state. They no longer tolerate feel-good theologies, prosperity doctrines, smorgasbord ecumenicalism or gospel messages designed to tickle their ears and collect their hard earned cash. God has been educating such men in private with the Holy Spirit as to exactly what the church is meant to be and they have been praying in the church of the Book of Acts, a church in which the miraculous to man is simply the standard fare of God. Many have reached the position of desiring nothing more than to be in complete obedience to His word, no matter the cost there is in such display. As they continue to be emptied of self and filled with the Spirit, the Lord is strengthening their faith and manifesting through them in escalating degree. As always “the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” (2Ch 16:9) The Lord is nearing the end of erecting new apostles working in our midst “in all patience, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.” (2Co 12:12) In such light I ask you this, do you think there are people in churches who tempt our God through lives that remain a lie and shaming of the Holy Spirit? You know the answer is yes, so fear not as someone arises in your midst to deal with them as Peter did with Ananias and Sapphira. As they are turned over to death fear not as you recall the words of Nicodemus: “No man can do such miracles except God be with him.” (Jn 3:2) Remember the miracle and blessed parting of the Red Sea was equally displayed in the safety afforded the Israelites and the death of Pharaoh’s armies. The obliteration of evil is natural to God and a blessing to His people, so as destruction escalates around us fear not for social conditions only worsen the closer we are to Christ’s return. Fear not “for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2Ti 1:7) It is Satan that wants you blinded by fear and believing the lie that man can provide for your safety and provision and that our God cannot. To all such attempts of the father of lies every son of God redeemed at the Cross says: “Get thee behind us Satan in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”! In the fullness of His power that indwells you and through simple ‘belief upon His name’ there is nothing within the evil Islamic forces you cannot obliterate through speaking with the power of life and death that is in your tongue! Let God arise and His enemies be scattered as you get on with His job at hand!
Seven times in the Book of Revelation we are told ‘he that overcomes’ will receive rewards granted by the Lord. For certitude the overcoming of all fear in the manners designated by Jesus is necessary, for all those that do not come into alignment with His word face the sobering reality of being cast into the eternal lake of fire! “He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Rev 21:7-8) Ours is a God of order, always walking people, places and events into His correct positioning and timing. In His consideration the first deemed most suitable to enter the eternal lake of fire are the fear filled deniers of His word and the living Christ!
The fear being spoken of is not the natural fear or timidity that can cause one to be startled and in fright; it is that cowardly God denying action that as a last resort cause one to reject God in favor of self and physical safety! This fear is a sin and close companion of the sin of a lack of faith in Christ! Hypocrites of all persuasions “mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.” (2Timothy 3:1) Christian and Jewish hypocrites the terrible times in the last days are upon you now and daily growing stronger. Hypocrites of Islamic faith submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ or face certain destruction as the Two Prophets now walk in our midst and the sons of God are marching forward to drain the blood from all the lineage of Amalek. One and all, you face the fury of God being unleashed now upon you through His Two Prophets and there is nothing you can do to stop them, for “if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.” (Revelation 11:5-6) The ten plagues of Exodus are being released in order now over the Top Ten Islamic Strongholds in this world. They are being released in Biblical order first given, but in a manner greater than at the time of Moses. Slowly watch them unfold and increase their intensity as they are a calling for your repentance!
“Ye that love the LORD hate evil: he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.” (Psalms 97:10)
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4)
I could post hundreds of gruesome pictures. To what avail would it be for the fearful in our midst already have enough demons chasing them. Remember that what is feared will come upon you: “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.” (Job 3:25-26) As to the hypocrites, followers of Islam and all the fearful I say “let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.” (Psalms 55:15) It is time they were cleared from the path of the returning King. “As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.” (Psalms 55:16-18) The battle is the Lords and victory is assured so Fear Not!
